Social Responsibility

Sugar Plump Fairy isn't a mass production operation, so we're not competing with the big guns. Our production costs are a little higher because we're engaging smaller and more innovative businesses with strong social & eco-responsibility policies to manufacture, print, pack, parcel and send goods. We are the NKOTB and are looking to better ways to do things, and welcome your two cents.

Garments

After a bunch of research, we've chosen to work with the manufacturer AS Colour - a New Zealand company who are dedicated to constantly evolving and updating their Responsible Sourcing strategies. Find out more. Unless otherwise specified, we print on the AS Colour Staple cut, which are made of 100% combed cotton.

Packing materials

All Sugar Plump Fairy purchases are packaged using noissue materials. They are a member of Eco-Alliance - a growing community of businesses, makers, and brands who choose to utilise sustainable packaging and are committed to being better together. For every order placed, they plant trees in areas in need of reforestation.

Recycled Mailers are made from plastic waste and printed with black water-based ink that makes them recyclable again and again after serving their purpose as your trusted mailers. They are also finished with two adhesive strips so you can use each one twice (at least!) This makes noissue Recycled Mailer a circular economy product - a term used in the industry and world of sustainability.

Tissue is printed with soy-based inks, on FSC-certified paper, and is Acid, sulphur, and lignin-free. noissue Tissue is 100% Compostable, Recyclable, and made from recycled materials. We've made it look kinda pretty too, so encourage you to re-use it where possible.

Stickers are made from FSC-certified paper and printed with soy-based inks, and are 100% Compostable!

Shipping

Where possible, all Sugar Plump Fairy orders are sent using Sendle, Australia's first 100% carbon neutral delivery service. What does that mean? It means that for every tonne of carbon dioxide Sendle releases into the air while delivering parcels, they support projects that combat climate change. Curious? Find out more

All domestic express orders are sent via Australia Post, and occasionally we'll use their standard service to reach some regional and international destinations, but as Sendle grows, so will its reach.
